Dog Walking
At Hooley's Hounds, we offer both Solo Dog Walks and Group Dog Walks, ensuring every dog receives the care, exercise and attention that's right for them.
We understand that no two dogs are the same. Some dogs thrive on one-to-one attention and prefer a quieter environment, whilst others love the opportunity to socialise and explore alongside canine friends. That's why we'll always take the time to understand your dog's personality, behaviour, and individual needs before recommending the most suitable option.
Solo Dog Walks
Our Solo Dog Walks are ideal for dogs that are nervous, reactive, elderly, in training, or simply prefer their own company. These walks provide dedicated one-to-one care, allowing your dog to enjoy their adventure at their own pace in a calm and relaxed environment.
Group Dog Walks
For friendly, sociable dogs that enjoy the company of others, our Group Dog Walks offer plenty of exercise, enrichment and fun. Group sizes are kept small, with a maximum of 2 to 4 compatible dogs, carefully matched based on their temperament, size and personality wherever possible.
Walks may take place in a variety of beautiful locations across Plymouth and the surrounding areas, including Dartmoor, Plymbridge Woods, local parks, public beaches, or secure enclosed paddocks where appropriate.
Whether your dog enjoys peaceful one-to-one walks or exciting adventures with friends, you can be confident they'll receive the same love, care and attention as if they were our own.
If you're looking for a trusted, caring and professional dog walker in Plymouth or the surrounding areas, we'd love to hear from you.

My aim is simple: to provide a service that you and your dog look forward to every time.
Will my dog be let off the lead?
Only with your permission and if we are confident it is safe to do so.
Every dog is individually assessed, and factors such as recall, temperament, location and surrounding environment are always considered. If there is any doubt, your dog will remain safely on lead.
How long are your walks?
Walk durations can be tailored to suit your dog's age, breed, fitness level and individual requirements.
Whether your dog enjoys a gentle stroll or a longer adventure, we'll discuss the most suitable option during your initial consultation.
What if my dog doesn't like other dogs?
No problem at all! Every dog is different.
If your dog is nervous, reactive or simply prefers their own company, we offer Solo Dog Walks, allowing them to enjoy one-to-one attention in a calm and controlled environment.
Your dog's comfort, confidence and safety will always be our priority.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Your dog's welfare always comes first.
During periods of extreme heat, storms, icy conditions or other severe weather, walks may be shortened, rescheduled or replaced with a home visit or enrichment session where appropriate. We'll always discuss any changes with you.
How do I get started?
Simply get in touch to arrange a free meet and greet.
This gives us the opportunity to meet you and your dog, learn about their routine and personality, answer any questions you may have, and ensure we're the right fit before your first walk.
