The idea for this service came from planning my own wedding. Like so many dog owners, I couldn't imagine celebrating such a special occasion without my own greyhound, Winston, by my side. But I quickly realised there was one big question… who would look after him?
The people you'd normally ask to care for your dog are often the very same people you want celebrating with you, making it difficult to ensure your dog is looked after whilst still enjoying your wedding day.
That's exactly why I created Hooley's Hounds Wedding Chaperone Services.
Whether you'd like your dog to walk down the aisle, be part of your photographs, greet your guests, or simply spend part of your special day with you, I'll work with you to create a bespoke plan tailored to your wedding.
From collection and transport, to caring for your dog throughout the day and safely returning them home afterwards, you can relax knowing they're receiving the same love, care and attention that I would give my own.

How much does your Wedding Chaperone Service cost?
Every wedding is unique, so our Wedding Chaperone packages are tailored to your individual plans and requirements. Our packages start from just £180 for 4 hours.
Pricing will depend on factors such as the duration of care, travel, the number of dogs, and the level of involvement throughout the day.

What does a Wedding Chaperone do?
Our role is to take all the worry out of including your dog in your wedding day.
Depending on your requirements, we can collect your dog from home, provide exercise before the ceremony, transport them safely to your venue, accompany them during photographs or the ceremony, supervise them throughout the day, and return them home afterwards.
Our aim is to ensure your dog is happy, safe and well cared for, allowing you to fully enjoy your special day.
What if my dog is nervous or anxious?
Every dog is different, and we'll always work at your dog's pace.
Before your wedding, we'll arrange a meet and greet (if local) to get to know your dog and understand their personality, routine and any concerns you may have.
If, on the day, your dog becomes tired, nervous or overwhelmed, their welfare will always come first. We'll adapt the plan accordingly, whether that's giving them some quiet time, taking them for a walk, or returning them home early if that's in their best interests.
Can my dog walk down the aisle?
Absolutely! If you'd like your dog to play a special role in your ceremony, we'll work closely with you and your venue to make it happen. Every wedding is different, so we'll discuss the timings, logistics and your dog's temperament during your consultation to ensure everything runs as smoothly and safely as possible.
Where does my dog go after the ceremony?
That's entirely up to you!
Some couples choose for their dog to stay for photographs before being taken home, while others would like them to remain for part of the reception or evening celebrations.
We'll create a bespoke itinerary around your plans and ensure your dog is cared for throughout, before safely transporting them home or to another agreed location.
How many dogs can you look after?
We're happy to care for more than one dog, provided it's appropriate for their welfare and your wedding plans.

(Two small dogs or One Large)
Our Wedding Chaperone Package Includes:
- Pre wedding consultation to discuss your wedding and timeline/your dog's part in your wedding.
- Meet and greet before your wedding day to get to know your little companion (if local).
- Pre ceremony - 1 Hour before to meet your dog/take them for a walk or for a toilet break.
- Ceremony Chaperoning.
- Support During Photos.
- Remaining time will be caring for your dog(s).
- Transportation - we will take your dog(s) back to an evening location of your choice.
Additional costs may be added for any travel over 10 miles
